Badal Lo – Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

At Badal Lo, We provides a platform that enables users to list fashion items, buy items, and participate in exchange (swap) orders with optional quality checks and delivery support. This document explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information, and the rules for using Badal Lo across our mobile apps (iOS/Android), website (www.badallo.com), and related services.

PART A — PRIVACY POLICY

1) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed when you create or use a Badal Lo account, browse or post listings, place orders (buy or exchange), communicate with support, or interact with our website, app, or services. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use Badal Lo.

2) What Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: (a) you provide it, (b) we collect it automatically, and (c) we receive it from service providers.

A. Information you provide
  • Account information: name, username, email, phone number, password (hashed), profile image, language preferences.
  • Profile details (optional): gender, style preferences, sizes, location/city, bio.
  • Listings content: item title, description, brand, size, category, condition, images/videos, pricing, availability.
  • Order & exchange details: order IDs, item details, selected services (e.g., QC), pickup/drop-off preferences, delivery address (for logistics), order notes, timestamps, status history.
  • Customer support communications: emails/messages, attachments, and feedback.
  • Promotions: promo codes used, influencer/referral identifiers (where applicable).
B. Information we collect automatically
  • Device & app data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, unique device identifiers (where permitted), crash logs, diagnostics, performance metrics.
  • Log data: IP address, access times, pages/screens viewed, actions taken, referral URLs.
  • Approximate location: inferred from IP (coarse) for security, fraud prevention, and regional experience.
  • Cookies (web/Shopify): cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and preferences.
C. Information from third parties/service providers
  • Payment processors: payment status, transaction references, risk signals (we do not store full card numbers in plaintext).
  • Delivery/logistics partners: pickup/delivery status, tracking references, delivery confirmation signals.
  • Analytics providers: aggregated usage and performance data.
  • Auth/OTP providers: phone/email verification status.
3) How We Use Your Information
  1. Provide and operate the platform (accounts, listings, orders, exchanges, delivery coordination).
  2. Facilitate exchange workflows, including coordination for quality checks and shipment where selected.
  3. Process payments and fees (platform fee, service fees, discounts, promotions).
  4. Communicate with you (order updates, security alerts, support responses, policy changes).
  5. Improve user experience (recommendations, relevance, app performance, feature improvements).
  6. Prevent fraud and abuse (account security, suspicious behavior detection, dispute handling).
  7. Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4) How We Share Information
A. With other users (privacy-by-design)

To enable marketplace interactions safely, we may show limited information such as your display name/username, profile photo (if provided), rating/reviews, and item/listing details. We do not display the other party’s phone number or address to you by default. In exchange orders and invoices, we intentionally avoid exposing the other party’s direct contact details.

B. With vendors/service providers
  • Payment processors (to complete payments and refunds where applicable)
  • Delivery/logistics partners (to fulfill pickup/drop-off)
  • Hosting/cloud providers (to store and serve data securely)
  • Analytics/crash reporting (to improve performance and reliability)
  • Support tools (to manage tickets and communications)

These providers may process data only to provide services to us under applicable agreements.

We may disclose information if required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, enforce our policies, or investigate fraud and abuse.

D. Business transfers

If Badal Lo undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

5) Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your region and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where applicable.

6) Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services, fulfill orders/exchanges, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

7) Security

We use safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, monitoring, and secure storage practices. No method of transmission/storage is 100% secure.

8) International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect data in line with this Policy.

9) Children’s Privacy

Badal Lo is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If we learn we collected data from a child improperly, we will delete it.

Our app/site may link to third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not ours.

11) Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will post updates and/or notify you in the app or via email.


PART B — TERMS & CONDITIONS (TERMS OF SERVICE)

1) Agreement to Terms

By using Badal Lo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2) Eligibility

You must be able to form a legal contract in your jurisdiction. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

3) Your Account and Security
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all actions taken under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
4) What Badal Lo Provides
  • Listings: upload items with photos/videos and descriptions.
  • Purchases: buy items where applicable.
  • Exchange Orders: swap items with optional QC and delivery workflow.
  • Promotions: promo codes and influencer campaigns.
  • Support: help with disputes, logistics, and platform issues.

Unless explicitly stated, Badal Lo acts as a facilitator and is not the manufacturer or guarantor of user-listed items.

5) User Content and Listings Rules

You may not list or upload content/items that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or infringing intellectual property. We may remove content that violates policies.

6) Exchange Order Flow

An exchange order is initiated when both users agree inside the platform. Depending on selected services:

  1. Both users confirm the exchange.
  2. Items may be collected by our logistics (or partner courier).
  3. Items may be routed through a quality check process (where applicable).
  4. Items are delivered to the respective users.

Privacy note: invoices and exchange documentation should not display the other party’s phone number or address.

7) Fees, Charges, and Taxes

Badal Lo may charge platform/service fees and applicable taxes. Fees may include delivery/QC charges where selected. You authorize us and our payment partners to charge your selected payment method for applicable fees.

8) Promo Codes and Influencer Discounts

If a promo code is applied, we may record promo code details and influencer/referral attribution for reporting and fraud prevention.

9) Payments

If payments are processed through third parties, you also agree to their terms. Badal Lo is not responsible for third-party downtime outside our control.

10) Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss

Delivery times are estimates. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control. Risk transfer may depend on delivery confirmation events per the chosen method.

11) Quality Checks (If Offered)

Quality checks typically cover visible condition checks against listings. QC does not guarantee brand authenticity unless explicitly stated.

12) Cancellations, Returns, and Disputes

Rules depend on order type and stage (before pickup, in transit/QC, after delivery). Dispute resolution may require evidence (photos/videos/timestamps).

13) Prohibited Conduct

You may not scrape data, abuse promotions, manipulate reviews/ratings, attempt to obtain private user details, or misuse the platform.

14) Intellectual Property

Badal Lo branding and software are protected. You retain ownership of your content but grant Badal Lo a license to host and display it for platform operation.

15) Disclaimer of Warranties

Badal Lo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that items meet expectations.

16) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Badal Lo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

17) Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations or security reasons. You may stop using the service at any time.

18) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
